HEART FAILURE AND CARDIOMYOPATHY GROUP SURVEY
Posted by Cyril Grither on February 8, 2025
Dear patients,
Dr. Delmas and I invite you to participate in a survey created by the GICC (heart failure and cardiomyopathies group) whose objective is to contribute to better care for patients with heart failure.
I'll let you discover the content of the study.
We need you for an essential study: Romant'IC, carried out by the Heart Failure and Cardiopathy Group of the SFC, which aims to better understand the impact of heart failure on the love life and sexuality of patients.
Why is this important?
Love and intimacy are fundamental pillars of human well-being. Yet, in our heart failure patients, physical symptoms (fatigue, shortness of breath, activity limitations) and treatment side effects often affect their ability to fully experience these essential aspects of life, leading to feelings of isolation and deterioration of relationships.
What are the objectives of this study?
• Evaluate the real impact of heart failure on patients' love lives and sexuality.
• Improve their overall care, by integrating these dimensions into our clinical practice.
• Freeing up discussion on subjects that are still too taboo and developing educational tools to better support our patients in their private lives.
We need your participation!
To reach our goal of 1000 completed questionnaires, we are calling on all healthcare professionals working with heart failure patients.
How to contribute?
• Give a flyer, QR code or paper document (to be returned by email or post) to your patients with heart failure.
• Patients will answer this anonymous questionnaire themselves, available online or in paper format.

Thank you for your support!
Your commitment will help improve the care of our patients and pave the way for more humane and holistic care.
Best regards,
Administrative Secretary of the GICC
