5 CONSEJOS DE SAL

La sal es un condimento que se utiliza para realzar el sabor de los alimentos y conservarlos. Consumido en exceso tiene importantes repercusiones en la salud.

Los franceses consumen una media de 10 gramos de sal al día. Afssa recomienda un consumo máximo de 4 gramos al día. La OMS es más estricta y recomienda 2 gramos al día. El exceso de sal es un factor de riesgo de osteoporosis y problemas cardíacos. A continuación te damos 5 consejos para limitar el consumo.

1. LIMITAR LOS ALIMENTOS SALADOS

Leer etiquetas. Reduce tu consumo de comidas industriales. Su contenido en sal es demasiado alto. Contienen una media de 3 gramos de sal por ración. La sal, muy presente en los embutidos, se utiliza como conservante.

2. 80% LA SAL CONSUMIDA ESTÁ OCULTA

Está especialmente escondido en los cereales para el desayuno, las galletas y el agua con gas (e-salud). Algunos cereales comerciales pueden contener hasta 2 gramos de sal por cada 100 gramos. Se utiliza estratégicamente para estimular el apetito. Limita tu consumo de verduras enlatadas y sopas industriales.

3. PREFIERE LO HECHO EN CASA

Cocinarte tú mismo es la mejor forma de controlar el consumo de sal en tu dieta. Tienes la opción de realzar tus platos con otros condimentos como ajo, cebolla, tomillo, pimiento, hierbas frescas, etc.

4. NO RESALTAR DESPUÉS DE COCINAR

Salar los alimentos sólo durante la cocción. Esto le da tiempo a que la sal penetre en ellos. No dejes el salero cerca de ti en la mesa.

5. ELIGE CUIDADOSAMENTE TU AGUA

Lea y compare las etiquetas de las botellas de agua. Aguas como Courmayeur, Perrier, Volvic y Hepar son bajas en sal.
